Change is good!
In 1998, after more than 20 years of insurance agency experience, I joined the InStar sales team and began enthusiastically selling InStar. In 2005 when AMS announced that it was buying InStar, it was with high hopes and the best of intentions that I decided to join the AMS sales force to continue selling InStar. After a year, it became obvious to me that AMS was more focused on the bottom line than on the InStar product for its customers. This did not work for me, so I resigned in March of 2007.
But, as often happens, when one door closes, another opens, and I launched the Agency Resource Center. This has been a very rewarding experience for me. I have been able to continue consulting with agencies that need assistance with InStar along with selling other products and services that help insurance agencies operate efficiently and profitably.
